My name is Mary Cryan Brockbank and I am a registered member of BAPT (British Association of Play Therapists) which can be viewed on www.bapt.info . I have worked with children with emotional and behavioural problems since 1982 in Ireland, USA and England in different settings.
I am also a student member of BISS (British and Irish Sandplay Society) BISS is a professional body that represents and supports the professional practice of Jungian Sandplay in both Britain and Ireland.
I have recently (Sept 2019) trained in the use of Filial Therapy with Tracie Faa Thompson. Filial Therapy is a psychoeducational family intervention in which the therapist trains and supervises parents as they hold special child -centered (nondirective)play sessions with their own children, thereby engaging parents as partners in the therapeutic process and empowering them to be the primary change agents for their own children.
